WeatherTech Consulting Group, Inc. was established in 1982. In 1998, the company underwent a critical expansion with the addition of Geoffrey Garabedian, formally the President and Director of R&D for Tri-Ply, a business unit of GAF Corporation. Also, in 1998, Andrea Garabedian joined the firm as Principal. Mrs. Garabedian went on to serve as the Treasurer and Vice President of Operations. In 1999, WeatherTech expanded again with the acquisition of Burtech Incorporated, a major roofing and waterproofing consulting firm providing services in the southwest United States. In 2001, Mr. Garabedian became a Principal and served greatly as President and CEO. He also served as President of the Great Lakes Chapter for Roof Consultants Institute in the 2005-06 year. Although he is no longer with us, the spirit of Geof lives on through our company’s mission and dedication to the industry. On December 31, 2021, Mrs. Garabedian retired from WeatherTech Consulting Group, Inc. and the company is now owned by Ann Crippen.

We’re proud to be a fully certified and accredited company. Some of our certifications include CRSP-RISE certified solar roofing professionals, Accredited Asbestos Inspectors for the State of Michigan, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design professionals, Construction Documents Technologists through the Construction Specifications Institute, and certified operators for Nuclear Moisture Detection Systems through Troxler Electronics. As members of the Great Lakes Chapter IIBEC, International Institute for Building Enclosure Consultants (Previously Roof Consultants Institute), the American Society for Testing and Materials, Roofing Industry Educational Institute, U.S. Green Building Council, Chicago Roofing Contractors Association, Midwest Roofing Contractors Association and National Roofing Contractors Association, we’re able to provide our clients with nothing but industry-leading solutions and information.
